We are working with a globally backed Heavy Plant Supplier who are currently looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the North West of England. This is a 50m turnover business who have a strong 3 year plan in place to build further, invest heavily and drive the business towards to the 75m mark.This a truly exciting time to work with the business at present.The ideal candidate will have good experience & a proven track record of Engineering in Heavy Plant or Quarrying.

Role: Field Service Engineer (Scotland)
Salary: 22 p/h (depending on experience) + company van + benefits
Location: Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, Alloa)

Key Responsibilites for the Field Service Engineer:-
  • Perform equipment installation, commissioning, and regular servicing for a wide range of machines
  • Provide expert technical support and timely resolution for equipment breakdowns, with a strong focus on diagnosing and addressing issues related to hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all work activities through detailed worksheets, ensuring proper recording and reporting of service activities.
  • Conduct fabrication, welding, and machining tasks as required, showcasing your versatility and craftsmanship in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing customers, contributing to sales, servicing and spare parts opportunities for the full equipment range.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanour while working on customers' sites, strictly adhering to their onsite Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all stated policies and procedures related to Health and Safety, consistently taking responsibility for personal Health and Safety at all times.
  • Remain flexible and prepared to undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by your line manager, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the team.

Key Requirements for the Field Service Engineer:-
  • A proven track record of Engineering, Installation, Service, Commissioning in a Heavy Plant environment
  • Formal Qualification in Engineering or a proven track record in the area
  • Exposure to Hydraulics & Welding essential
  • Ideally MPQC & CSCS qualifications
  • Understanding of working with 24 volt DC Power Supplies
