We are currently seeking a dynamic Architectural Project Manager to join our client. This field-based role is focused on securing and managing project specifications, working closely with architects, façade consultants, quantity surveyors, and main contractors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting innovative building products and solutions, driving project specifications from design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with architects, façade consultants, and main contractors to ensure products are specified and approved for relevant projects.
  • Actively target and expand the specifier base within a designated geographical area.
  • Identify potential business leads using external resources and collaborate with the internal team to maximise opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance to architects and contractors, offering support in the design and bidding phases of key projects.
  • Keep industry professionals updated on new product developments and maintain regular communication with architectural practices in the region.
  • Collaborate with other regional teams to enhance the chances of securing orders for clients.
  • Submit regular reports and updates on progress to the National Specification Manager.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key specifiers and contractors, ensuring all activity is logged and reported in the system in a timely manner.
  • Manage and update project records through the company's internal systems, following up post-project completion to ensure client satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical field (e.g. civil engineering) with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven experience in engaging with architects on design and specification matters, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with façade design, building envelopes, and the relevant structural considerations.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and commercial processes related to major projects.
  • Demonstrable success in business development, particularly in securing project specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Self-driven and motivated with the determination to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to prioritise tasks to meet business objectives.
  • High attention to detail with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Well-organised and able to manage time effectively to maximise productivity.
