Search are actively seeking a Design Manager / Coordinator for power based civil engineering projects across the Central Belt of Scotland on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and energy sectors.

What you'll be doing:


  • Manage the design process for design and build contracts.
  • Act as primary contact for design teams, client and production teams.
  • Advise on strategy and cost effectiveness of various methods of construction.
  • Co-ordinate design and project information supplied to construction team.
  • Manage compliance checks against specification and client requirements.
  • Manage design output to agreed programme.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities, Building Control and Planning Departments.


What you'll need to be successful:


  • Ideally having 5-10 years civil engineering experience in a design role for a Main Contractor or consultancy.
  • Good working knowledge of civil engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and self-management skills essential.
  • Candidate must be proactive, self-disciplined, organised and motivated to develop.
