Associate Director
Civil Engineering
First People Solutions is working with a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineer to appoint an Associate Director with a specialism in Civil Engineering for their Glasgow office.
In this role, you will act as the technical lead across a diverse portfolio of projects, manage and mentor a well-established team of Engineers and Technicians, and collaborate closely with other in-house design disciplines. You will also be instrumental in driving client engagement and supporting business development activities.
The Civil Engineering team is actively involved in a wide range of sectors, including Retail, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Custodial, and more. The team delivers a robust pipeline of work across projects of varying scale and complexity. These include roads and drainage design, flood risk assessments, earthworks, and 3D modelling.
What we need from you:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer preferred
- 8+ years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
- Experience leading projects, teams and coordinating workload
- Expert experience in the design of drainage infrastructure, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood alleviation
- Skilled at building strong relationships with both new and existing clients, while also contributing to the development of innovative business strategies and growth opportunities
