Job Description: Chemicals Sales ExecutiveLocation: Glasgow (External Position)
Position Overview:I am seeking a highly motivated and driven Chemicals Sales Executive to join our team in Inverness. This external sales role will focus on selling chemical solutions to a wide range of industries, developing and expanding your territory, and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers. You will be responsible for increasing sales, identifying customer needs, and providing technical guidance on chemical solutions. You will also manage your geographical area, report on sales activities, and contribute to the growth of our business by hunting for new onshore opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell a wide range of chemical solutions to customers within your defined geographical area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify new opportunities for business growth and stay updated on industry trends.
- Proactively identify and address customer needs, providing tailored chemical solutions and expert advice.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the efficient delivery of products and services to meet customer requirements.
- Attend regular sales meetings to discuss progress, market conditions, and share best practices.
- Regularly report on sales progress, client feedback, and market conditions, ensuring management is kept informed.
- Actively seek out and pursue new onshore business opportunities, hunting for potential leads and growing your client base.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of competitors’ offerings and market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve.
- Take ownership of the administration and management of your territory, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the chemicals or industrial sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of chemical solutions and their applications, with the ability to provide technical support to clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to drive sales success.
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to report on sales activities and provide insights into market conditions.
- A full UK driving license and the willingness to travel within the geographical area as required.
Salary and Benefits:
- £35,000 Competitive salary based on experience, car, fuel card, personal usage, 26 days a year annual leave and Christmas shut down
