The role reports into the head of bookkeeping who in turn reports into the partner group. The position has arisen due to continued client growth and additional work being won.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to support the outsourcing team in the delivery of bookkeeping services to a number of clients within your allocated portfolio. You will be responsible for the completion of work within agreed timeframes and will proactively build relationships with your client base.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Collation of client expense details and ensuring that receipts/invoices are stored in a central location.Reconciliation of sales ledger and customer bank accounts ensuring that anomalies are identified, and errors corrected.Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns and ensuring that clients are made aware of the values of VAT returns that need to be paid and advising when.Assist in the production of accounts to aid the client accounting team to be able to pull monthly management accounts together.
The RequirementsWe are seeking an applicant who has prior experience of working as a bookkeeper within an accounting practice environment. Applicants will have strong IT skills and will have used either Xero, Sage, Quickbooks or similar packages. We are open to candidates who do not have a professional qualification as we will be weighting experience as the most important factor. If candidates are AAT qualified or are seeking to gain a qualification, our client would be open to supporting that. Although the role is Hybrid in nature, we are looking for candidates who are based in the local area.
