Role: Bookkeeper

Location: Glasgow City Centre (Remote)

You will have responsibility for bookkeeping, accounts preparation, preparation of the monthly management accounts, and budget and cashflow forecasting

This opportunity requires a confident accountancy professional to work in cross-collaboration with different clients

Our client is ideally looking for someone with proven experience in bookkeeping, and accounts preparation, who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to thrive within a high-profile role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Invoicing and processing of invoices
  • Experience of dealing with Staged Payments, Requests for Payment and reversals into VAT invoices essential
  • Reconciling petty cash
  • Administration of payments to suppliers and staff
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, including trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet
  • Budgets and cashflow forecasting
  • Credit control
  • Ensuring clear audit trail and liaising with accountants where required

Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in accounting software - Xero, FreeAgent, Sage, or QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles
  • Good Excel and Word skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Use own initiative to manage workload
