Machine Operator, Cumbernauld, Salary from £29,000 to £31,000 per annum + Onsite Parking!

Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 2:15pm, Friday 6:00am – 11:10am
Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:15pm – 11:45pm, Friday off

Machine Operator needed to join a leading manufacturing company in the Cumbernauld area. The Machine Operator will be responsible for working within a skilled team in a cutting-edge machine shop, setting and operating CNC horizontal lathes to machine precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes.
  • Machine components to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage and edit CNC programs.
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.

 

Requirements:

  • Time-served CNC Turner/Machinist.
  • Experience in CNC editing and controlling.
  • Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Experience with FANUC software (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Mori Seiki and Leadwell horizontal lathes (desirable).
  • Previous experience machining with stainless steel and exotic materials such as Hastelloy C276, Duplex Stainless Steel, and Incoloy 825 (desirable).
