Principal Consultant - Senior level Business Analyst

About the RoleAs a Principal Consultant / Senior level Business Analyst you will be a key player in the design and delivery of cutting-edge solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions. From the initial design phase to overseeing implementation, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects across multiple teams and stakeholders, guiding both internal and client teams toward high-quality outcomes.

You will lead the charge in identifying opportunities for process improvement, managing project timelines, and providing expert guidance on technical and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading complex projects, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions, and managing scope changes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day support for the implementation of tailored solutions across multiple projects.
  • Estimate tasks during the discovery phase and assist in the bid approval process.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess current processes and design solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (development, testing, and project management) to align on solution design and timelines.
  • Monitor progress, resolve deviations from the plan, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
  • Assist with testing phases, defect triage, and managing scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead client-facing meetings, document key decisions, and address customer queries and escalations.
  • Mentor and guide senior consultants and project teams, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high performance.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  • Proven experience leading customer workshops to gather and refine requirements.
  • Strong track record in overseeing defect triage, contributing to test plans, and aligning them with solution design.
  • Proficient in creating clear, detailed business and technical documentation.
  • Excellent understanding of change control processes and scope management.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management best practices.
  • Expertise in process redesign, driving efficiency and effective outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead large workshops and meetings, both remotely and in-person.

Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience working with CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook) regulations and frameworks, particularly in the context of financial services.
  • Knowledge of asset management processes, including understanding of investment management workflows and the regulatory landscape.
