**Cyber Security Project Manager** (Contract)

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Glasgow/Hybrid (1-2 days in office)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Overview


As a Cyber Security Project Manager, you will be pivotal in delivering projects that meet our time, cost, and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with business sponsors and stakeholders, navigating the NIS Regulatory Compliance roadmap to prioritise and mobilise work efficiently. Your expertise will ensure that all project aspects are effectively managed, leading to seamless transitions to business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects to expected outcomes and benefits within agreed timelines and budgets, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Manage and motivate matrix teams, driving high performance and project excellence.
  • Oversee project budgets, providing governance and ensuring financial processes are adhered to.
  • Communicate progress and obstacles effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all projects comply with High-Level EP plans and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain realistic project plans, incorporating risk-based contingency measures.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring project requirements align with business outcomes.
  • Facilitate governance forums, tracking project progress and reporting on key performance indicators.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in project management within the energy sector or a related industry.
  • Strong background in managing complex business change projects, demonstrating structure and clarity.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development, and organisational change.
  • Ability to proactively manage project scope, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Proficient in project planning tools, particularly MS Project.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (APM/PMI/Prince II) are beneficial.

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Network and Information Systems Regulations.
  • Experience in the energy generation sector and operational environments.
