Overview


My client is seeking a lead engineer to spearhead a specialist Property Services team in their established Glasgow Office. You'll be focused on project delivery and client management with the view to build and grow the team with the full support of the business (Established portfolio and no financial targets).

The wider specialist team consists of around 30 engineers spread across multiple offices, their work consists of the management, refurbishment and plant replacement of existing/new buildings for a number of high-profile clients within the Defence, Healthcare, Commercial and Heritage sectors.

The role includes utilising initial building assessments (Dilapidation & Condition Surveys, Building Performance and energy audits) to develop an overall design and operational maintenance strategy for each specific project.

The work is often varied and requires you to think on your feet to develop unique engineering solutions. This is an opportunity to take the lead on projects for leading frameworks (UK& Overseas), supervise intermediate engineers and build business relationships with new/existing clients.



Requirements

  • A Mechanical/Electrical Or Building Services Degree
  • Deep understanding of M&E systems
  • Experience with Financial aspects of Building services (Bids, Fee proposals, cost management etc)
  • Experience with technical Due Diligence Surveys (Condition, Dilapidation, Pre-acquisition)
  • Experience with aspects of PPM, asset management, decarbonization strategies, plant replacements, project management etc
  • Ability to manage projects and lead engineers
