VAN DRIVER

Monday - Friday: 9.00 AM - 6.00 PM

People Solutions are recruiting a Van Driver for our respected client in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving delivery vans safely and efficiently
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks
  • Delivering parcels to homes and businesses
  • Following a planned route with pre-set delivery times
  • Using a hand-held device for organized routing, making it easy to complete delivery targets
  • Meeting achievable delivery targets, with each customer assigned a time slot for convenience

Essential Skills

To qualify for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence and have held this for at least one year
  • Have no major endorsements (DD, DR, IN) and no more than six points for minor infringements
  • Be prepared for a Disclosure Scotland Check and provide a five-year traceable work history

Desirable Experience

Previous multi-drop or courier delivery experience is preferred but not required.

Training

All new drivers will receive thorough training, including up to one week of on-the-job shadowing with an experienced driver.
