CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 07:00 STARTS

£14.50 - £17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Springburn, Glasgow.

This role involves delivering goods across various locations and requires candidates who are physically fit due to heavy lifting.

Rates of Pay

• Basic: £14.50 per hour
• Higher Rate: £17.00 per hour (for select hours/shifts)

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will include but are not limited to:

• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently for the delivery of goods.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Licence
• At least 12 months of experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• A valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Punctuality and excellent timekeeping skills
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
• A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Training

• Paid site induction required prior to your first shift
