About the Role:
Our Client is seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join their dynamic team in Uddingston. If you have a passion for driving, delivering excellent service, and meeting deadlines, we encourage you to apply. In this role, you will handle palletised freight, ensuring timely, efficient deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and deliver palletised freight efficiently using a tail lift and electric pallet truck.
  • Accurately complete and submit all paperwork at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Secure freight safely for transit and ensure goods are maintained in excellent condition.
  • Use advanced industry technology for route optimisation and proof of delivery capture.
  • Communicate any non-conformities or near-misses to the line manager.
  • Uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism.
Must Haves:
  • Experience & Personal Qualities:
    • Proven experience driving Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV).
    • Experience with power pallet trucks and electronic delivery equipment.
    • Excellent customer service skills and commitment to high standards.
    • Strong ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
    • Pride in maintaining and respecting the provided equipment.
  • License/Certification:
    • Digital Tacho Card (Required).
    • Valid Class 1 HGV License (Required).
    • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) (Required).
    • Comprehensive knowledge of driver regulations (Required).

Agency Briefing
