Sonic Summary

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a leading logistics company specializing in next-day and same-day delivery.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years of LGV vehicle driving experience and candidates must be over 25 years old.
Day shift drivers will earn £32,000 per annum with overtime, while night shift drivers will earn £36,000 per annum plus overtime.
Candidates must hold a C+E Licence, a valid Driver CPC card, and a digital tachograph card.
The position involves delivering and collecting goods throughout the UK while adhering to all relevant legislation and safety regulations.

We are currently looking for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a leading logistics company, that specialises in the next-day and same-day delivery of air and sea freight and the distribution of heavy, awkward and dangerous consignments within the UK.My client is an established freight distributer that has 3 decades experience in the Industry and looking for Class 1 drivers for either a day or night shift.

Job Title - Class 1 Drivers

Reports to - Depot / Operation Managers

Location: Glasgow

Role Summary:

Drive company vehicles in a safe manner and adhere to all relevant legislation / rules in

relation to the loads being transported.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a list of the main duties of the role and should not be considered an exhaustive list

of duties.

Doing deliveries / collections throughout the UK.
Load and unload in line with the company code of practice and use appropriate equipment.
Maintain security of load while loading, transporting and delivering.
Comply with various legislations regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and Working Time Directive.

Experience & Qualifications

C+E Licence requirement
Valid Driver
CPC card (DQC) essential
Digital tachograph card essential.
Minimum 2 years of LGV vehicle driving experience and must be over 25 years old due to underwritten insurance.
Good knowledge of EU Regulations and Working Time Directive
Geographical knowledge of major UK roads
Sound knowledge of Highway Code and speed limits for size of vehicle/type of road
Good working knowledge of manual loading/unloading and securing freight
Unacceptable endorsements: Drink or drugs related endorsements within the past 10 years any disqualifications in the past 5 years/any codes on licence with prefix: IN CD, DD, DR, and BA

Working Hours

Day Shift:

Monday-Friday 8am - 6pm

£32,000 per annum + 1.25 Overtime + Benefits

Night Shift:

10/14 Flexible working days 8pm - 6am

£36,000 per annum + 1.25 Overtime + Benefits
