Position Summary
Our Client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team in Uddingston. This role involves the efficient transport of goods, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely collect and deliver palletised freight using tail lift and electric pallet truck.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Report any vehicle or equipment issues, non-conformities, or near-misses promptly to your line manager.
  • Ensure timely and secure deliveries while maintaining the integrity of goods during transit.
  • Use electronic delivery equipment and technology for route optimisation and proof of delivery.
Must Haves
  • Experience & Personal Qualities:
    • Proven experience driving Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV).
    • Proficiency in using power pallet trucks and electronic delivery equipment.
    • Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and reliability.
    • High standards for maintaining and respecting equipment.
    • Ability to work efficiently and meet delivery deadlines.
  • License/Certification:
    • Digital Tacho Card (Required).
    • Valid Class 2 HGV License (Required).
    • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) (Required).
    • Strong knowledge of driver regulations and safety protocols (Required).
