Drivers Mate

The Best Connection is currently recruiting forDrivers Matesto join our client based in theEasterhousearea of Glasgow. This is a temporary role with guaranteed work until the end ofJanuary 2024,offering an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the driver with deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
Deliver a high level of customer service at all times.
Pick stock and load it onto the assigned vehicle before starting the day.
Help unload goods at delivery points.
Act as a banksman, assisting the driver in navigating tight spaces, concealed entrances, or sharp corners.

Skills & Abilities Required:

Good command of English, both written and verbal communication.
Physically fit, able to lift and move heavy items.
Reliable with excellent timekeeping skills.
A strong team player, able to collaborate effectively.
Flexibility to work the hours required.

Hours of Work:

Shift Pattern:0700 1900
Rotation:4 days on, 4 days off
