Working in a care home requires some specific qualities not always needed by Chefs in other environments. You will be preparing food for the same people every day in the place that is their home, so unlike in a busy restaurant you will possibly see and speak to the residents daily, so you need to have good communication skills. The position involves working as chef in either a care at home or residential setting within offshore islands at pay rate of 20£ P/H. As a Chef, you will demonstrate commitment and compassion, boasting relevant experience in UK ideally in care home and residential setting.

Responsibilities of the Successful chef:

- Direct and supervise all kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with their responsibilities with regard to Food Hygiene- Health & Safety requirements. Manage and maintain accurate stock control. Check and maintain First Aid equipment within the kitchen. Monitor temperature controls- Check the freshness of food and ingredients- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers.- Plan menus and ensure the quality of meals- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

Minimum 2 years exp working as a chef

Essential possession of a personal vehicle as a car driver
