ENABLE Glasgow is a community based charity working with adults with learning disabilities and their carers and families in Glasgow.

We are currently recruiting for a full time chef (35hrs per week) at our Balshagray House Service in the Broomhill area of the city.

Balshagray is a supported community in the west end of Glasgow which provides 24-hour support and care to adults with a learning disability. The project currently supports17 people, 13 of whom live in the main house, with another 4 living in more independent tenancies close by. We provide 24-hour waking support to service users in the main house, most of whom have relatively complex support needs. The people who are supported by Balshagray have close links with the local community, and benefit from a comprehensive support network.

The successful candidate will provide a vital role in the operation of our Balshagray Supported Living Service. This role involves the development of good practice in terms of healthy eating and wellbeing, food preparation, stock ordering and rotation.

Strict adherence to all food hygiene, health and safety regulations and premium housekeeping standards is an essential requirement.

Relevant experience as well as a current REHIS Food Hygiene certificate are essential.
