KELP are looking for a driven, enthusiastic chef de partie to work alongside our small, ambitious and creative kitchen team. We are an independently owed and operated seafood restaurant with a unique and contemporary menu which seeks to showcase Scotland beautiful produce in a relaxed setting. KELP is predominantly food sales led but has a menu of excellent wine and cocktails to compliment the sustainable Scottish seafood we serve.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team who truly care about the food and a menu which regularly changes. We currently hold 1 rosette and require a chef with a keen eye for detail, calmness and precision while working in our front of house kitchen.

We would expect the candidate to have:

  • A passion for exceptional food and good service and drive to make sure the unit is performing as well as it possibly can.
  • Ability to work closely with others and have a friendly approach.
  • A solid understanding of modern cooking techniques & passion for quality seasonal produce
  • A solid understanding of heath and safety procedures and an eye for detail.
  • At least a year of experience in a similar role.
There is scope for career progression and discounts are available in our sister restaurants.

The starting hourly rate is from £14.00ph based on experience, with tips on top of this. Shifts run as a 4 day week. Pay is bi-weekly. Last orders for kitchen are 9pm, closed on Mondays. Closed on Christmas Day
