We are partnering with a global manufacturing company based in Glasgow city centre, renowned for its industry-leading innovations and operations across multiple continents. This role is pivotal at their headquarters, focusing on managing IT operations and leading a team of IT professionals.

IT Team LeadGlasgow/Hybrid£40,000 - £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise.
  • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services and support across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into IT strategies and solutions.
  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry standards, implementing best practices.
  • Monitor and manage IT budgets, optimizing spending and cost-efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
  • Periodically travel to other company sites to oversee IT operations and support local teams.

Tech Stack and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT department, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Windows Server
  • Office 365
  • VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
  • Networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Strong experience with hardware
