We are partnering with a global manufacturing company based in Glasgow city centre, renowned for its industry-leading innovations and operations across multiple continents. This role is pivotal at their headquarters, focusing on managing IT operations and leading a team of IT professionals.
IT Team LeadGlasgow/Hybrid£40,000 - £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise.
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services and support across the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into IT strategies and solutions.
- Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry standards, implementing best practices.
- Monitor and manage IT budgets, optimizing spending and cost-efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
- Periodically travel to other company sites to oversee IT operations and support local teams.
Tech Stack and Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT department, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Windows Server
- Office 365
- VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
- Networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong experience with hardware
