Meraki Talent are currently working with a leading financial services business to help them identify a Data Privacy Lead. You will ensure that data privacy practices are not only aligned with regulatory requirements but also reflect industry best practices, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of data assets.Some of your duties will include: 
  • Development and implementation of an effective incident response plan for data breaches and coordinating with relevant teams to investigate and address incidents promptly.
  • Identification and assessment of potential risks related to data privacy and implement measures to mitigate these risks and enhance overall data protection.
  • Provision of data privacy training and awareness to employees by educating employees about their data privacy obligations, how to manage personal data securely, and how to identify and report data privacy breaches.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and implementation of enhancements to the data privacy programme.
  • Development and implementation of data privacy policies, procedures and monitoring the adherence to these policies across the organisation.
  • Development and implementation of Data Privacy strategy aligned with the business objectives and regulatory requirements.
We are looking for candidates with:
  • Extensive experience in data privacy management, ideally within a global financial services or highly regulated industry.
  • Deep understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA and others.
  • Ability to design and implement data governance and privacy frameworks across large organisations.
  • Great leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels
