New Business Development Manager, Financial Services - West of Scotland
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented 'new business developer' to join our respected client's business development team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the financial services sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your business acumen, networking skills, and industry knowledge to contribute to the success and expansion of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Prospect, qualify, and secure new business relationships through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand our client base, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, corporations, and potential clients, to foster long-term partnerships and business growth.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that effectively communicate our value proposition and tailored solutions to prospective clients.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring terms are favourable while meeting business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations, to align business development efforts with organisational goals and objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
Experience required:
- Experience: Proven track record in field-based business development or sales roles within the financial services industry (3 years plus) demonstrating success in acquiring new clients and achieving revenue targets.
- Networking Skills: Strong networking abilities with the ability to build relationships and influence key decision-makers.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and manage contractual agreements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends, financial data, and client needs.

What's On Offer?
A competitive basic salary of between 45-55k pa depending on experience plus Car/Allowance, pension, private medical and genuine obtainable and uncapped bonus earning potential on top.
