Lead the Charge: On-Trade Spirits - Scotland

Are you a passionate and commercially driven On-Trade expert with a proven track record in the Spirits world? We are searching for a dynamic On-Trade Controller to lead our client's team in Scotland. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving distribution growth of their premium portfolio, expertly balancing focus between Whisky and Gin, and collaborating closely with the RTM and National Accounts teams.

What will you do?

  • Lead and Inspire: Mentor, coach, and motivate a team of On-Trade professionals to exceed targets and embody company values.
  • Drive Growth: Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize distribution, margin, and activation KPIs.
  • Own Key Accounts: Manage a portfolio of high-profile accounts and spearhead the Prestige strategy for the region.
  • Collaborate & Partner: Work cross-functionally with internal teams and build strong relationships with RTM partners and operators.
  • Champion the Portfolio: Become a true ambassador for the brand, fostering a deep understanding of their exceptional Whisky and Gin offerings.
  • Strategic Vision: Contribute to the overall On-Trade strategy, adapting to market changes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Home Market Focus: Lead the charge in the Scottish market, leveraging brand homes and local partnerships.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in On-Trade sales within the spirits industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and deal evaluation abilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Scottish On-Trade landscape and key players.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
  • A passion for the spirits industry and a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Experience with CRM systems and performance reporting.
