Finlay Jude are supporting a long term client in seeking a talented and driven Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Scotland’s central belt.As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of innovative water solutions, ensuring the seamless integration, commissioning, and handover of essential MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) elements across our projects. What You’ll Be Doing:

Ensure projects are executed to the highest standards in time, cost, and quality.
Work with our planning team to align MEICA commissioning programmes with overall project timelines.
Develop and implement project-specific Commissioning Plans at every phase.
Maintain a comprehensive commissioning diary, providing key updates to stakeholders.
Oversee sub-contract labour, ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards.
Work alongside project leaders to deliver cutting-edge water infrastructure solutions.

What would make a successful Commissioning Engineer:

Technical Expertise: ONC/HNC or Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
Specialist Knowledge: Experience in WIMES, ICA (Instrumentation, Controls & Automation), and telemetry systems.
Industry Insight: Strong understanding of pumping systems, CSOs, dosing systems, screens, and associated instrumentation.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive, solution-driven approach to engineering challenges.
