Lead Civil Engineer (Defence) - Contract (Ongoing)
拢60 - 70 per hour (DOE) - Inside IR35 聽
Glasgow - Hybrid

Our client are an international engineering consultancy with some excellent opportunities in the Defence industry for a Lead Civil Engineer on a contract basis.

The Lead Civil Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within, supporting operations and future programs at client sites.


Responsibilities

路Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
路Manage contractor engineering support to the project.
路Support project optioneering process.
路Review and accept project drawings and documentation.
路Manage detailed design activities in accordance with HMNB (Clyde) standards.
路Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instruction/method statements/risk聽assessments.
路Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with聽design intent.
路Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning
路Liaise and consult with stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure efficient and effective聽project delivery.
路Comply with all Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality policies, procedures, work聽instructions and risk assessments and support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety,
路Environment and Quality on Site.
路The post holder will be expected to support delivery within his or her range of skills, knowledge,聽experience and competence.
路Contribute to the effective development and delivery of training within own area of specialism

Key Experience/Qualifications

路Experience of developing design assurance for complex projects
路Experience in civil engineering for complex projects
路Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle
路Experience in a defence sector.
路Experience in engineering lifecycle management.
路Demonstrable suitable qualifications and experience relating to marine and mechanical engineering.
路Accredited Degree in an appropriate 'STEM' discipline (or equivalent qualification and experience)
