Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Glasgow

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join an established, multi-disciplinary consultancy and play a pivotal role in the delivery of innovative infrastructure projects, with a focus on transportation and rail sectors.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:

Lead concept and detailed geotechnical designs, including foundations, slope stability, retaining walls, and more.
Prepare technical reports such as ground investigation and geotechnical design reports.
Identify geotechnical risks and propose effective management strategies.
Manage and mentor junior engineers, ensuring quality and technical excellence.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective, practical solutions.
Prepare fee proposals and contribute to business development by maintaining client relationships.
Oversee the commercial aspects of projects to achieve profitability without compromising quality.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc in Geotechnical Engineering advantageous).
4-6 years of geotechnical design experience in a consultancy environment.
Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE or equivalent.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, geotechnical tools) and MS Office.
Knowledge of Eurocode and CDM regulations; rail experience advantageous.
Clean driving license.
