About the Role:
An established and reputable civil engineering and groundworks contractor is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join their team. This role is perfect for an experienced individual with a background in civil engineering, groundworks, and construction projects. As a Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the projects, ensuring efficient delivery, and upholding the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site activities for civil engineering and groundworks projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, including workforce management, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Implement health, safety, and environmental management procedures to ensure site compliance.
- Provide technical support to the project team, solving issues and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to monitor project progress.
- Prepare and review site reports, documentation, and compliance checks.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering and groundworks, with a strong background in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and health and safety standards.
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in site management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
