A leading company in the rail and civil engineering sector is seeking a talented Sub Agent to join their Glasgow-based Asset Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work on essential maintenance frameworks, contributing to the safety and functionality of critical rail infrastructure. About the Role As Sub Agent, you will manage the delivery of asset maintenance and reactive maintenance works. Your responsibilities will include overseeing inspections, repairs, and ongoing maintenance of rail and civil structures, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities - Manage maintenance and reactive works across rail infrastructure, including: - Bridges, tunnels, embankments, culverts, and station infrastructure - Ensure projects meet program, budget, and compliance requirements, including: - Health & Safety plans, work package plans, and task briefings - Quality and environmental standards - Contract terms and conditions - Respond to reactive maintenance needs, deploying resources to minimize disruption - Collaborate with site teams and surveyors to ensure seamless project delivery - Monitor progress, identify risks, and provide formal reports to senior management - Promote continuous improvement in maintenance practices and team performance Requirements - Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Sub Agent, ideally within maintenance or rail projects - SMSTS and PTS certifications - Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience) - Experience with reactive and asset maintenance works - Strong understanding of rail infrastructure standards and safety requirements - Flexibility to respond to reactive works, including night or weekend shifts - Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills What's on Offer - Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience - Company car or car allowance - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service) - Up to 3 volunteer days - Company contributory pension scheme - Life insurance and health cash plan For more information or to apply, please feel free to contact Jamie Nicholson using the details provided, or click the "apply now" link.
