Key duties & responsibilities:

Provide civil engineering support across multiple projects by creating outline designs during development phases

Including site/route selection, ground investigation specification, earthworks designs, public road upgrade, landscaping and access for proposed assets.

Define the scope of engineering design, as well as validate and verify the engineering design and construction and installation for assigned projects.

Develop scope of works and detailed specifications, supporting site teams to ensure the quality of installations.

Evaluate tenders and scope, procure, and manage specialist services.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must be degree qualified electrical engineers to be considered for this role.

Previous Transmission experience required.

A minimum of 3+ years' experience working within civil engineer project role.

Good communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate diligence and prioritise tasks, as well as a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, including CDM and ESQCR, and the implications of this for Transmission network management.

Desirable:

Ideally, candidates should be Chartered Engineers or working towards this.

Ideally, experience with Civil project Engineering on UK projects.
