Bridge Design & Civil Infrastructure - Glasgow

First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer who is seeking a talented Bridge Engineer to join their team. Our client works on a variety of exciting projects across highways, rail, and marine structures, with a strong track record of excellence in these sectors.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and analysis of new/existing bridges, rail bridges, footbridges, marine structures and roads
• Utilise your expertise to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct feasibility studies, perform structural assessments, and provide technical recommendations
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports
• Attend site visits and meetings when required

What we need from you

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 3 years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
• Chartered (CEng) preferred or working towards
• Proven experience in the design of new/existing bridges and rail infrastructure
• Proficiency in software such as Midas, LUSAS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
