Skills needed in this Building Surveyor role:
- HNC in building surveying or similar or to demonstrate a strong background within the building industry
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works
- Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment
- Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages
- Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor role:
- Completing repairs inspections and overseeing required work to successful resolution
- Undertaking stock condition surveys in line with organisational policies
- Managing cyclical and capital work projects in line with legislation and making appropriate recommendations
- Overseeing the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes in accordance with the organisation
- Managing disrepair and environmental health cases
- Managing external contractors
