Location: Glasgow

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About The Company:

Our client, a leading construction company, is renowned for delivering high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and public sectors. They are looking for a skilled Building Surveyor to strengthen their team and support continued growth.

Building Surveyor – The Role:

This role involves overseeing the inspection, design, and maintenance of a wide range of construction projects. You will manage property surveys, assess structural integrity, ensure compliance with legislation, and prepare detailed reports.

In addition, you will monitor and control budget expenditure, while collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Building Surveyor – Main Activities/Responsibilities:

- Design and manage refurbishment projects from inception to completion

- Conduct building inspections and prepare detailed reports

- Advise on building defects, repairs, and improvements

- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, asbestos regulations, and other relevant legislation

- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions

- Liaise with stakeholders, providing expert advice on building matters

Building Surveyor – You:

- Degree in Building Surveying or a related field

- Chartered status with RICS (or working towards it)

- Strong knowledge of legislation, including health and safety and asbestos regulations

- Proven ability to monitor and control budget expenditure

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills

- Proven experience in managing a variety of building projects
