We are seeking a competent and motivated Chartered Building Surveyor with a broad knowledge of contracts and building pathology to join an expanding professional services team in Glasgow. Our Client has structured growth plans in place, which could lead to ongoing career opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and providing a broad range of surveying and associated insurance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence and service delivery on commercial and residential projects, including validation of contractor's
  • Participate positively and constructively within the team, sharing knowledge, feedback, and suggestions
  • Supervise and mentor building surveying graduates, fostering their professional development, and ensuring high standards of practice
  • Liaise with contractors and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to contractual/Client SLA’s and KPI’s reinstatement proposals, scoping, tenders, contract administration, measured surveys, dilapidations, building surveys, maintenance plans, and reporting

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in Building Surveying or Building Engineering discipline
  • Chartered status (MRICS) with at least 12 months post qualification experience
  • Excellent degree of knowledge of surveying-related claims and principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with sound negotiation and investigation skills
  • Any property insurance knowledge advantageous
  • Clean UK driving license and own transport
