Job Title: Chartered Building SurveyorLocation: Glasgow Job Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of building surveying projects, providing expert advice on property and construction matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion to meet the projects objectives.
  • Dilapidations and negotiating the repair works or a financial settlement if required.
  • Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience of defect analysis, undertaking building surveys and producing professional reports.
  • To diligently handle all instructions and to maintain comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
  • Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes.Contract Administration.
  • Dilapidation Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
  • Schedules of Condition.
  • Assisting with managing and training a small team

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MRICS qualified.
  • 5 years postgraduate experience in building surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
