Fire and Security Engineer
Location: Glasgow | Full-Time
Salary: 36,000 - 42,000 DOE

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our growing team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work across a variety of fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:
    Install, maintain, and service a range of fire and security systems, ensuring all systems are operating at optimal levels.
    Carry out fault finding and repairs to ensure minimal downtime for customers.

  • System Commissioning:
    Commissioning of fire and security systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.

  • Customer Interaction:
    Provide excellent customer service, addressing client queries and offering advice on system operation and maintenance.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met.

  • Compliance and Documentation:
    Ensure all work is completed in line with industry standards and company procedures.
    Complete all necessary documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, and time sheets.



Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in installing and servicing fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
  • A solid understanding of fire alarm systems and security systems installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards and fire safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.


Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Galaxy systems and Fire Systems.
  • CSCS/ECS card would be advantageous.
  • IPAF/PASMA certification is a plus.
