We are working on behalf of a leading rail and civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site Agent to oversee key infrastructure projects across Scotland. About the Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of rail and civil engineering projects. You will lead site teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring project objectives are met
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with health & safety regulations
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and senior management
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, contract requirements, and environmental policies
- Prepare and submit project reports, including risk assessments and method statements
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and best practice
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent in the rail or civil engineering sector
- Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure and multi-disciplinary project delivery
- SMSTS and PTS certifications
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and teams on complex projects
- Full UK driving license
