Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a permanent Sub Agent to play a key role in delivering high-profile projects in the Central Belt of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking to make a significant impact on a major development.

Role Overview

They are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to step into the role of Sub Agent, providing vital support across technical, quality, scheduling, and contractual aspects of project delivery. This position offers a varied workload, allowing you to develop into a dynamic and well-rounded Sub Agent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the construction site to ensure smooth and safe operations
  • Attending pre-start and progress meetings to align project objectives
  • Preparing site plans, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Overseeing cost control and scheduling to meet project deadlines
  • Ensuring all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
  • Reporting on contractual milestones to the client
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in civil engineering within a contracting environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work away from home, as projects may be based across Scotland
