Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a permanent Sub Agent to play a key role in delivering high-profile projects in the Central Belt of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking to make a significant impact on a major development.
Role OverviewThey are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to step into the role of Sub Agent, providing vital support across technical, quality, scheduling, and contractual aspects of project delivery. This position offers a varied workload, allowing you to develop into a dynamic and well-rounded Sub Agent.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the construction site to ensure smooth and safe operations
- Attending pre-start and progress meetings to align project objectives
- Preparing site plans, risk assessments, and method statements
- Overseeing cost control and scheduling to meet project deadlines
- Ensuring all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
- Reporting on contractual milestones to the client
- Minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering
- Experience in civil engineering within a contracting environment (preferred)
- Familiarity with NEC contracts (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away from home, as projects may be based across Scotland
