Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for operating both CNC and manual machinery, ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-axis machining, programming, and precision inspection to support a high-performance manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and adjust multi-axis CNC machining centers, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Utilize milling machining skills, with the ability to operate a 5-axis machine.
  • Program using Shop Mill system (preferred but not essential).
  • Perform 5-axis programming to meet manufacturing specifications.
  • De-burr castings after machining to maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections based on production charts.
  • Maintain efficiency records and monitor machine performance.
  • Perform manual statistical testing to verify machine accuracy.
  • Carry out safety and housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and compliant work environment.
  • Set up machines and perform routine preventative maintenance.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong ability to interpret and work with complex engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with fine tolerances and precision measurements.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to source tooling, jigs, or fixtures as needed.
  • Team player with the ability to motivate colleagues and contribute to achieving key performance targets.
  • Strong understanding of 5S housekeeping standards and ability to implement best practices.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience operating CNC and manual machinery, as well as jib cranes.
  • Commitment to high-quality standards and a first-time-right approach.


Education & Experience

  • Time-served CNC Machinist or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in machine operation within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
