Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent and lucrative opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join an international manufacturing company in the Glasgow region. Modest to experienced competencies are welcome to apply.

What's on Offer:

  • A straight to permanent role.
  • A £16 to 21/hr basic rate.
  • A 40hr work week.
  • OT potential at 1.5X
  • Rota shift of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm Mon to Fri

This role will require you to follow engineering specs and produce components to industrial standards as well as continually communicate with the shop floor supervisor.

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must:

  • Be able to adhere to HSE standards
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacture to required tolerances
  • Perform QC checks on components
  • Have experience in Fanuc controls
  • Be moderately skilled in Turning
  • Be able to program Lathes (citizen bar feeder knowledge would be advantageous)
  • Have CMM knowledge and experience
  • Have CNC sliding head experience (advantageous)
