Overview: As an Electrical Supervisor specialising in containment and data installations for new build apartments, you will oversee the electrical aspects of construction projects from planning through to completion. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient installation of containment systems and data infrastructure, adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and schedule containment and data installation activities in coordination with project timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow and project delivery.

Supervision and Team Management:
- Lead a team of electricians and technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance as necessary.
- Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to electrical codes and project requirements.

Containment and Data Installations:
- Oversee the installation of electrical containment systems, including conduits, trunking, cable trays, and raceways.
- Supervise the installation of data cabling, fiber optics, and networking infrastructure according to specifications.

Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise in electrical and data systems, interpreting drawings and specifications to guide installation activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to maintain project progress.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure installations meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

- Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, safety incidents, and project documentation.
- Prepare reports for project managers and clients, documenting project milestones and outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor in construction, specializing in containment and data installations for apartment buildings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, containment methods, data cabling, and networking infrastructure.
- Leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring quality and compliance.
Education and Certifications:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) Gold Card or equivalent supervisor-level safety certification.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or licenses (e.g., journeyman or master electrician).
- Certification in data cabling or networking installations (if applicable).
