We are working on behalf of a leading rail and civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee key infrastructure projects across Scotland. About the Role As a Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of rail and civil engineering projects. You will lead site teams, ensuring work is completed to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards, while meeting budget and programme requirements. Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget - Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards - Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow - Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise - Liaise with clients, project managers, and senior management to provide updates and maintain strong working relationships - Manage site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and work permits - Drive a positive safety culture, ensuring all site activities are carried out in accordance with regulations - Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives on-site Requirements- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the rail or civil engineering sector - Strong understanding of rail infrastructure, construction methodologies, and project delivery - SMSTS and PTS certifications - Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience) - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively - Full UK driving license What's on Offer - Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience - Company car or car allowance - Company contributory pension scheme - Life insurance and health cash plan - Clear career progression and professional development opportunities If you're an experienced Site Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
