FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Project Manager to strengthen their delivery team.

Project Manager role:

You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning, and completion of contracts.

Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meeting specifications, deadlines, and budget estimates while prioritising health and safety and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Project Manager responsibilities:

Promote high safety standards and superior quality of work.

Ensure the BMS is applied at every stage of project delivery, from tender handover to final completion.

Plan projects by reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan and oversee the monitoring and control of project delivery.

Maintain strong client relationships and uphold the company's reputation by fostering good partnerships with partners and suppliers.

Ensure adequate trained personnel are available and aware of their responsibilities.

Ensure detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, approved, and in place before activities begin.

Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates.

Continuously develop professionally through external networking and participation in industry events.

Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental policies and targets and focus on meeting customer needs to improve satisfaction.

Project Manager requirements:

Proven experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.

PMQ or equivalent.

Strategic, operational, technical, and management expertise.

Experienced in construction contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE, with negotiation and administration skills.

Experienced in risk and opportunity management.

Familiar with CDM regulations and construction health and safety standards.

Willing to travel to both office and site, flexibility is essential.

Experience in water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Chartered member of an engineering, commercial, or construction institution.

NEC Project Manager Accreditation.

Technical Competencies; contract management, governance, budgeting and cost control, risk, opportunities and issue management, project planning (schedule), digital delivery, procurement (negotiations and management), solutions development (pre- construction/design development), client, stakeholder and conflict management, resource management, change management and quality management.

Behavioural competencies; communication, collaboration, client focus, striving for results, integrity, trust and respect, coaching and providing feedback and leadership.
