Fully Qualified Painter & Decorator | Glasgow | Full Time | £30,628 per annum (£15.50 hourly rate)

Our client is a family run business that specialises in the delivery of painting and decorating services to Universities, Student Residencies, Schools, Retirement developments, and Housing Associations across Scotland.

They are looking to recruit a fully qualified painter & Decorator to join their teams based in the West End of Glasgow and delivering to their portfolio of long-term contracts throughout Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Painter & Decorator to join their teams during this current phase of long-term expansion.

What will your role look like?

  • Working with customers to ensure all work is completed to their requirements.
  • Reviewing each new site prior to starting work to establish all required materials/equipment to ensure completion as per the contract specification.
  • Preparing the surrounding area, including covering fixtures and furniture to keep the work area clean & tidy at all times.
  • Thoroughly preparing all surfaces for painting including the removal of old defective coatings, repairing minor damage, and filling all cracks etc.
  • Applying paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes
  • Maintaining all painting/decorating equipment and working from ladders, scaffolds, & MEWP's while strictly following health and safety standards at all times.
  • Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project
  • Working with other construction professionals such as, carpenters, electricians and plumbers when necessary
