Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Bid-Assistant for one of our construction clients that are based in South Lanarkshire.

As the Bid Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bid process from start to finish. Working closely with the Bid Manager and wider pre-construction team, you will ensure high-quality, timely submissions for public and private sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tenders, and expressions of interest (EOIs).
  • Maintain the bid library with updated company credentials, project case studies, and standard responses.
  • Assist in reviewing bid documentation, extracting key requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (estimating, design, health & safety) to gather technical input for submissions.
  • Proofread and format documents to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Help organise bid team meetings, progress reviews, and submission schedules.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a bid/tendering environment, ideally in construction or related industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel); knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Organised, proactive, and a team player with a keen interest in the construction sector.
