First People Solutions is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a leading civil engineering contractor, committed to delivering a variety of civils projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt of Scotland. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering, particularly within the groundworks and infrastructure sectors.

As a Contracts Manager, you will be an integral part of the delivery team for projects across Central Scotland, ranging from 500k to 10m. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead from the front: Take charge of the entire project lifecycle, ensuring everything runs smoothly, meets contract specs, and hits deadlines.
Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to bring project visions to life, tackling challenges head-on as they arise.
Drive progress: Monitor and manage project milestones, coordinating resources, subcontractors, and materials to keep everything on track.
Set the standard: Ensure all contractual obligations, including quality, health and safety, and legal requirements, are met and exceeded.
Stay ahead of the game: Conduct risk assessments, anticipate potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Be the voice of the project: Lead meetings with clients, stakeholders, and your team, ensuring everyone is aligned and up to date.
Inspire and guide: Provide leadership and mentorship to your project team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Required Background and Experience:

Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or a similar senior project management role within a civil engineering contractor.
Strong background in managing groundworks, earthworks, and infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
A degree or HND qualification in Civil Engineering is preferred
