Sonic Summary

Morson is seeking to recruit pipefitters for a 12-month contract in Govan, with the possibility of extension.
Candidates must be time served, possess relevant trade papers, and ideally have experience in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy industry.
The role involves the manufacturing and installation of pipe spools and requires a good understanding of SHE Processes and Policies.
Salary rates are £19.40 PAYE for locals and £27.40 for non-locals, with higher rates for night shifts.
Applicants must also have an NVQ/SVQ level 3 or equivalent and will need to pass a trade test and gain security clearance before starting.

Morson are looking to recruit pipefitters on behalf of our client in Govan. These are 12 months contacts with the likelihood of extension.

Successful candidates must be time served and able to provide trade papers on application, ideally with previous experience with shipbuilding/marine/heavy industry.

Pipefitters are involved in the manufacturing and installation of small & large bore pipe spools using different materials. Located in the Pipe Shop and on ship, fabricating and preparing pipework in the Pipe shop ready to be installed on the ship.

Key understanding of the SHE Processes and Policies.

Use of appropriate extraction & ventilation as well as PPE & RPE.

Skills:

Fitting/Working with; Elbows, T-Pieces, Flanges, Sleeves, Couplings & Bosses
Installation of Blucher Pipe & Fittings
Spools with Flanged Connections, Lokring Type Couplings, Mechanical Threads, Axial Connections
Hand Bending Pipework (Pulled & Hydraulic)
Understanding Relevant Trade Drawings

Standard - Locals: £19.40 PAYE Non locals: £27.40 (Umbrella rates also available)

Nights - Locals: £25.80 PAYE Non locals: £33.80 (Umbrella rates available)

Full rate card available on request

Successful candidates will be required to gain Security clearance and pass a trade test before eligible to start on site.
