JC194 - Credit ControllerLocation – GlasgowSalary – £Competitive Overview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Credit Controller to join their team in Glasgow.My client are seeking a Credit Control Administrator to join their team in Glasgow. The successful individual will report to the Credit Control Manager and will be part of a small but efficient and effective team. My client was founded in 2001 and has grown organically, and through acquisition, to become one of Scotland’s biggest and best Property Management companies. Currently servicing over 36,000 properties in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure invoices are paid on time.
  • Follow debt collection procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures and processes.
  • Stay updated on credit control best practice.
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts.
  • Raising & requesting Notice of Potential Liabilities (NOPL’s) on Registers of Scotland (ROS).
  • Recording NOPL’s and making sure these are kept up to date.
  • Calculating Direct Debit reviews and preparing the DD increase review letters.
  • Handling & follow up of the DD rejections.
  • Checking on landlord registration (LLR) for contact details for new developments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced high volume credit control environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-discipline and motivation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
