Robert Half is working with a Glasgow city centre real estate firm to recruit for a Credit Controller. This is a great role to be part of a large and growing global business. For the right candidate, this role offers:

Salary is up to £30k + bonus of up to £5k and hybrid working (2-3 days on site) + excellent benefits.

Duties:

  • Proactively manage and collect debts using effective collection techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to all credit control processes and develop them where necessary.
  • Allocate workload efficiently across a portfolio of clients.
  • Foster and develop relationships with key contacts throughout the business and with clients.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and escalate queries through to resolution.
  • Conduct regular meetings/conference calls with stakeholders to review client debt.
  • Recommend appropriate bad debt write-offs.
  • Support the Treasury team with monies allocation and account maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to relevant client enquiries.
  • Collaborate with the business to reduce the debt position.
  • Maintain accurate records of all debt chasing activity.
  • Manage and clear all queries in the relevant mailboxes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control, particularly with complex debts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and vlookups.
