The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with an organisation in Glasgow who is an internationally recognised name. Due to a peak in the organisations financial timetable, we have been exclusively requested to assist the business in the recruitment of a credit controller on an interim basis.

The role holder will take the lead in relation to the collection of outstanding debts, organising payment plans as well as liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve queries.

Reporting directly to the head of finance you will be working within a small credit control team and will be office based on a hybrid basis.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to collect outstanding balances, resolve queries and uphold a positive image of our client to their international client base.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;

Contacting individuals by telephone, email and SMS to advise clients of the balances outstanding.

Working closely with internal colleagues to seek support and guidance in relation to their clients balances and to ensure they support you in your endeavours to clear balances.

Review your clients financial position to identify financial health and where appropriate arrange payment plans.

Resolution of queries and assurance that debts are acknowledged and understood.

The RequirementsWe require a senior credit controller who has a high degree of compassion, empathy and tenacity to chase debts that are outstanding. The credit controller will be responsible for chasing consumer credit, however in most instances the clients you will be working with are ongoing customers who are easily on hand to get hold of/contact. In the majority of instances the clients you will be working with will be fairly straight forward and payments missed will have been through error. In other circumstances a more firm approach maybe needed, as such we require an individual who can be direct and to the point. We are ideally looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 3 years of experience in this field. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
